Day 1 . Arrival-City tour-Museum of History-Museum of Genocide-Brandy factory

Arrival at Zvartnots airport. Transfer, accommodation at the hotel, early check-in. Rest. City tour around Yerevan. Visit History Museum, Genocide Museum. Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world. The history of Yerevan dates back to the 8th century BC, with the founding of the fortress of Erebuni in 782 BC by king Argishti I at the western extreme of the Ararat plain. Erebuni was "designed as a great administrative and religious centre, a fully royal capital." After World War I, Yerevan became the capital of the First Republic of Armenia as thousands of survivors of the Armenian Genocide settled in the area. Then visiting to the Museum of history and Museum of Genocide. After museums visit to The Brandy Factory to taste Armenian brandy. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2 Yerevan-Garni Geghard-Vernisage-Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel departure to  Garni  Temple, which is a first century Hellenic templeIt is the only pagan temple in Armenia that survived the Christianization of the country in 301 AD. After Garni you will see another beauty of Armenian architecture. Monastery of Geghard  is a unique architectural construction, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Yerevan. Free time in Vernisage which  is an open-air exhibition-market. It was formed during the 1980s by Armenian artists. In Vernissage you can also find carved wood and art works, traditional carpets, old collections of coins and medallions, books, jewelry, musical instruments, electronics and even pets are found in the market.

Day 3 Yerevan-Khor Virap-Areni-Noravank-Sisian

Breakfast at the hotel.Visiting to  Khor-Virap monastery the importance of which is connected with Gregory the Illuminator, who introduced Christianity to Armenia and is considered to be the first Armenian Catholicos. Then tour to Noravank monastery - a great religious and cultural centre of 12th c. On the way visit Areni wine factory to taste local wine. Overnight in Sisian.

Day 4 Sisian-Tatev-Shoushi-Stepanakert

The Tatev Monastery is a 9th-century monastery located on a large basalt plateau near the Tatev village in Syunik Province . In the 14th and 15th centuries Tatev Monastery hosted one of the most important Armenian medieval universities, the University of Tatev, which contributed to the advancement of science, religion and philosophy, reproduction of books and development of miniature painting. Wings of Tatev, a cableway from Tatev to Halidzor village was opened in October 2010. It was included in the Guinness World Records as world's "longest non-stop double track cable car." After Tatev continue tour to Nagorno Kharabakh Republicwhich is a state formed in the process of collapse of the USSR on the basis of Nagorno Karabakh Autonomous Region (NKAR), national-state formation in the polity of the USSR, and Shahoumyan Region populated by Armenians.The independence of the Republic of Mountainous Karabakh was declared on September 2, 1991, in accordance with the fundamental norms of international rights. The declaration of RMK Independence was formed by the results of national referendum on republic independence held on December 10, 1991.

In reply Azerbaijan unleashed a large-scale war. Karabakh army repulsed an aggression and expanded its territory having created a security belt, also called “liberated territories”of the historical Armenian lands that surround Karabakh. In May 1994 RMK and Azerbaijan have signed the armistice treaty that locked in actual borders of Republic of Mountainous Karabakh.The armistice treaty continues acting till nowadays.The capital and the largest city of NKR is Stepanakert.

Day 5 Stepanakert-Gandzasar-Khndzoresk-Karahunge-Sisian

After having breakfast at the hotel departure to Gandzasar monastery, which is a 10th to 13th century Armenian monastery situated in the Mardakert district of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic."Gandzasar" means treasure mountain or hilltop treasure in Armenian.  The monastery holds relics believed to belong to St. John the Baptist and his father St Zechariah. Gandzasar is now the seat of the Archbishop of Artsakh appointed by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Then again returning to Syunik province for visiting Khndzoresk and Karahunge.Khndzoresk is a village and rural community in the South-East of Armenia. The village is located on the steep slopes of Khor Dzor (Deep Gorge), from which, according to tradition, it got its name.Khndzoresk is widely famous for its canyon with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves, some of which are currently used as stables and warehouses, used to be inhabited till the 1950s. In 2012 in Khndzoresk opened swing bride (length 160 meter). It rises 63 meters high above the ground and weighs a whopping 14 tonsIts one of attractions of Syunik province.

Zorats Karer also called Karahunj or Carahunge is a prehistoric archaeological site near the city of Sisian in the Syunik province.The phrase Zorats Karer is translated from Armenian as Worrier Stones or Stone Army. It is also often referred to in international tourist lore as "Armenian Stonehenge." . Overnight in Sisian.

Day 6 Sisian-Selim-Noraduz-Sevan-Dilijan

After breakfast at the hotel departure to the Gegharqunik province. In medieval Armenia many buildings were built along commercial routes for the accommodation of travelers. One of those, the caravanserai of Selim, was built in 1332 by Prince Chesar Orbelian, according to an inscription in Armenian and Arabic. This caravanserai offered hospitality to travelers along the highway crossing the Selim (Sulema) mountains. The best preserved of all medieval caravanserais in Armenia, it comprises a vaulted antechamber and a large hall partitioned into three sections lighted through openings in the ceiling. This building is an excellent example of Armenian secular architecture in the Middle Ages.

Noratus or Noraduz cemetery is a medieval cemetery with a large number of early khachkars located in the village of Noratus, Gegharkunik province near  Lake Sevan. The cemetery has the largest cluster of khachkars in the republic of Armenia. It is currently the largest surviving cemetery with khachkars following the destruction of the khachkars in Old Julfa, Nakhichevan by the government of Azerbaijan.

Lake Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest fresh-water high-altitude lakes in the world. Visiting to the Sevanavank . The next stop is Dilijan, which is one of important resorts of Armenia.Overnight in Dilijan.

Day 7 Dilijan-Haghartsin-Haghpat-Sanahin-Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel departure to the Haghartsin which is a 13th-century monastery located near the town of Dilijan in the Tavush Province. It was built between the 10th and 14th centuries. After Tavush province you will enjoy the beauty of Lori province. Will see Sanahin and Hagpat monasteries. Both are included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage. Then you will see Odzun, which is early medieval church (5-7th centauries).Back to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 8 Yerevan-Matenadaran-Echmiadzin-Zvartnots-Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. Visiting to The Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) , which is a depository of ancient manuscripts, research institute .It holds one of the world's richest depositories of medieval manuscripts and books which span a broad range of subjects, including history, philosophy, medicine, literature, art history and cosmography in Armenian and many other languages. Echmiadzin which is mere 20 km from Yerevan. On the way visit to St. Hripsime church which is considered to be one of the 7 wonders of Armenia. Return to Yerevan with stop at the ruins of Zvartnots temple - the pearl of the 7th c. architecture which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Return back to Yerevan.

Day 9 Departure!

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
